Tour De Quaker!
Presented by Plainfield Police Department
Calling bike riders of all ages and skill levels! Join us for our first annual “Tour De Quaker,” Bicycle and Trail Ride - Presented by the Plainfield Police Department Bike Unit, Saturday, May 20, 2023!
Gather the family, find your helmets, air up your tires, dust off your seat, and then take your bicycles into your local Plainfield Gear Up Cyclery to be sure you are ready for the Tour De Quaker! This family-friendly biking event will host three different rides with PPD bike officers, and a bicycle safety course for the little ones all at Hummel Park before the rides.
The best part of this event is we will be raising money for an incredible cause, Cops Cycling for Survivors (CCFS). Cops Cycling for Survivors raises awareness and actively supports law enforcement survivors through another annual bike ride in July. This annual bicycle tour around the state of Indiana raises funds to be utilized to support scholarships, camps and events held in memory of officers killed in the line of duty and other survivor causes. You can donate the day of the event by visiting their booth or with the QR code provided to easily donate.
The first annual Tour De Quaker Bicycle and Trail Ride will begin in the parking lot of the East side of Hummel Park located at 1500 S. Center Street. Come early to visit the CCFS booth, the children’s bicycle safety course, and Gear up Cyclery will be in attendance to help with your Spring bike maintenance. We will then mount up and kick-off three separate trail rides with Plainfield Police Department’s bicycle and trail officers.
